Ello, anyone know if it's possible to switch Trash's presets via MIDI automation? (I would like to use a MIDI foot controller) I know the general parameters are automatable via MIDI but I'm not sure about the presets...

would what you are thinking require two or more instances of Trash or would one be fine (CPU conservation)

Can't be done, at least last time I tried.

Also not all the parameters can be automated. Live has a limit to how many, can't remember how many now, but this kinda sucks big time.

is it just me or trash and spectron are still among the hungriest plugs ever ???

-so I sent Izotope an e-mail to confirm it (....and to let them know it's a damn good feature to have).

the CPU is a bit heavy, though you can turn off sections to help.... still...would be way more convenient just to use one instnce of Trash and switch it's presets.

I'll update here with their reply if/when.

alright it's confirmed. damn.

here's the letter they sent back:

>Unfortunately this is not available in the latest version of Trash. This has been requested before so you're not alone. This may be something we add in a future release. Thanks for the feedback, and thanks for using Trash.

>Sincerely,

so unfortunately will have to wait. That's a pretty big oversight if you ask me...
