Importing EXS samples

Can EXS samples/instruments be imported as a whole?
I can only import one instrument at a time. Is there a way to import my whole Logic sample library with one import?
Thanks.

i would like this too - my problem now, however, is:

sampler is asking me to point it towards every single .aif sample it needs for a string patch (for example) when importing an .exs.

i think this is because im storing jampacks on an external drive - anyone have a cure for this? it gets real time consuming for sample heavy patches.

It's not because of the external drive. Sampler never finds my exs samples. You have to point it to the first one it asks for and then it finds the rest if they are in the same folder.

I've also looked for some kind of batch import, and I've asked here in the past, and it looks like there isn't one. So ya, you have to find the sample folder for every patch, and import each one individually. Then when you imported it, it's never right anyways. The volume is always way too low and settings such as the filter or envelopes are always way off. Sometimes an envelope is not even on that should be. So it imports the samples, but don't expect the patch to sound anything the same. I'm glad I have Kontakt for this. It finds the samples and imports things pretty accurately.

well - generally that works for me, except for .exs patches that use samples from different folders. like the "full strings" patch for example, needs cellos and basses and all, and for some reason its asking me to find every single sample - even from a folder ive already showed it. . i know - strange, right?

Sampler asks me to find every single sample... what a &*^^!! POS!

I've repaired permissions, run EXS Manager to make sure all References are in place properly.. still no go.

have you tried running logic with live yet? you could just pipe exs directly into live , if you'd like... i use sculpture this way, a bit of a headache, but it works...

Ya.. I've been rewireing LP7 and Live together for the EXS... but bought Sampler to avoid such kerfuffle.

I would be happy to find out what/where Sampler expects to find samples (local drive, ** folder, et al) so I can reconfigure my Instrument/ EXSampler folders to accomodate Live's Samplers expectations... whatever to get this working.
