Having tried a few different controllers with Live, I have come to the conclusion that the Nord Modular G2 and G2X are the ultimate keyboard controllers to use with Live. Here's what it includes:

-- 8 customizable LEDs+knob+button+display units
-- 15 pages of those in a 3x5 grid (120 parameters), per patch
-- 4 patches at once plus another 15 global pages
-- Thats' a total of 600 assignable parameters 8O
-- Instant recall of 8 scenes of parameter values, per patch
-- Totally customizable step sequencers
-- MIDI automation processors
-- Vocoder with built-in gooseneck microphone (G2X only)
-- Audio processing and mangling (resampling, granular, effects, etc.)
-- Four audio ins, four outs
-- Patches can send MIDI and audio between each other
-- Very expressive pitch stick
-- Three mod wheels (G2X only)
-- 61 keys, better than regular Nord keys (G2X only)
-- Oh yeah, it's a modular synth too!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! 8O 8O 8O

Unfortunately, they've been discontinued. I just ordered the last one from Audiosyncrazy.

the nord modular is probably one of my favorite synths of all time. You can do so much great stuff with that beast of a synth.

i dont think that they are really discontinued..probably just the distribution passed out..or maybe they only stopped the big model..the G2x..which was some kind of bargain anyway because it was expanded allready and has weighned keyboard...

I however weighned the keayboard of my standard G2...so thats not the issue anymore...

the formfactor of the normal G2 is much better..you easyly can carry it around...
actually clavia wasted some space..they should have made it even smaller by placing the wheels above the keyboard...

The G2X is definitely discontinued, according to multiple sources close to Clavia. Perhaps it will be reintroduced later, but I'm not counting on it. The NL3 was also similarly discontinued recently.

The G2 still seems to be in production, though. Just the G2X is discontinued.
