plug-in help

this is driving me crazy...I'm running Live 5 with m-audio keystation 88es and for audio interface/soundcard i'm using the line 6, UX 1.
I'm looking for basic sampled instruments to play on my m-audio.
piano, cello, bass etc... I was previously using the sound blaster x-fi soundcard where I stumbled on some basic samples that I use with live 5 and my m-audio through a sfz player through the plug-in on live 5.
Now that I don't have access to the x-fi soundcard I'm at a loss to find some of the basic instrument samples...some of the samples from the x-fi had some decent soundfiles....
So i'm hoping for some help as to where I can find some soundbanks that can play through this sfz player...and what kind of files to look for (.fxb or .fxp)
Just basic sounds...but decent samples
as you might guess I have no idea what i'm doing...the part that i'm any good at is when I can finally let my fingers play the instrument.
I'm hoping that there are some free samples but if I have to, I'll pay as much as I can to access these sounds for my recordings.

dunno if they're soundfonts (think the piano is), you might have to load them into a sampler of some kind.

you might be able to find some good stuff with a little time googling.
