Live 6.05 Goes Missing Loading Tracks

Just upgraded to Live 6.05 and having a problem when loading a "recently played track". The Live program just flicks off. :(
Never had this problem in 6.03.
The program is still running in the background in my task manager and the only way to get it back is to resart my computer.
I'm running some waves plug ins and have an AMD Duel processsor. Could these be causing problems? Never used to.
Not happy, please fix.

Hi,

Can you test with the latest beta, and if it happens, kill Live from the Task Manager and send us the bug report you get on the next restart of Live? Send the report to [email protected], with a reference to that thread.

You'll find the latest beta here:

Win: http://www.ableton.com/_common/download ... e606b1.zip
Mac: http://www.ableton.com/_common/download ... e606b1.dmg

Regards,
Amaury

Live has _never_ been able to be killed in task manager, if something has gone wrong.

I just D/L the beta version from link suggested, but when i tried it, it wouldn't play. Message saying there was a diff version for beta testing. Tried to D/L the newer version and got a message that public beta testing is over.
Damn it.
Now I'll never know till new release.
Hope the bug is fixed.
I also am getting massive surges in my cpu that is making it splutter when using hardly any tracks. WTF.
I see many are having these sorts of problems.
This is not good.
Hope all is OK in new release.
I should have never upgraded at this point. :(

Hi,

When I experienced that, unplugging my controller from the USB port immediately had the effect of the Live process vanishing from the task manager. Isn't it the case for you people?

Amaury

Can you retry downloading the latest beta? It should work...

I will try that. I have never unplugged my BCF from it's port, but I do turn it off, which I would think would be about the same as far as the computer's concerned.

On the bright side, I haven't had to try to kill Live in T.M. for a while now, not really having any problems

OK,
6.06b1 is dead. So what is most recent beta version?
Could you post a link to it please.

I really would like a link to good old 6.03. Searched around but couldn't find it anywhere. I wish i didn't delete my old version & the winrar file.
Never again. You live & learn.

I have loaded 6.0.6b2.
Playing a track and cpu went crazy after a few mins.
Program locked/choked with cpu around 460%.
Tried to shut it down. Wouldn't close. Tried to shut in down in task Mgr.
Wouldn't shut down.
Had to restart computer.
This sucks. Please help.

Have you tried disconnecting your USB controller(s) when Live refused to vanish from the task manager?

Did you get a crash report on the next opening? If yes, please send it to [email protected], so we can investigate the issue and hopefully solve it fast.

What hardware do you have apart from the computer, any controllers?
Can you make a trial by moving your Waves plugins outside of the plugins folder?

Kind regards,
Amaury
