Possible? Buy+Crossgrading Live Lite 4 windows to Live 6 OSX

Hi,

I recently switched to OSX when i bought my MBP.
I want to buy Live 6 and was wondering if it's possible to upgrade my 'Live Lite 4 for E-mu systems' (which is a Windows software package) to the full Live 6 for Mac OSX.

In other words, can I buy Live 6 for Mac OSX no matter what OS version of Live Lite i have? Can I choose the OS version myself or is it 'locked' to the OS that my Live Lite is for?

Except for the answer to using one license for both OS's, I couldn't find the answer to this 'crossgrading' matter on the support pages. Or is this just a matter of downloading the correct OS version of Live and the needed license/serial number is usable for both os versions?

Thnx

Hi,

When you buy Live, you get a serial number that can be used on both platform. You can change or have one PC and one Mac, no problem.

@ Amaury:
Thnx, it's good to know that i can choose.
However, from what you wrote ("You can change or have one PC and one Mac, no problem") I get the idea that you say it's also possible to have Live running on a Mac and Windows machine. Although the license can be used on 2 computers (as stated on the support/faq/license section) it's not possible (also stated on the support/faq/license section) to do it on 1 Mac and 1 Windows machine. They have to be same OS, right?

@ Pedro:
Except for the additional 30-day Live G-pass there's no difference in the upgrade you linked to? The price of the uprade package is the same.

Kinda strange that when you take the free update to Live Lite 6 with the Live G-pass for 12 euro, you get a 60 days G-pass. But when you buy the full upgrade to Live 6 for 229 euro you only get a 30 days G-pass (kind of like 30 days for free). If you get both, would you be able to use the G-pass for 90 days (or the two cards one after another)?

Hi,

It doesn't matter which OS you use, really. The license says you can have Live instaled on 2 machines at once, as long as you use only one at a time. This is regardless of the OS. And of course, if you change a computer, you can de-authorize Live form the older to install it on the newer, again regardless of the OS.

I have no idea about the G-pass. Please contact [email protected] to learn more about that.

Kind regards,
Amaury
