I know it's not the sound card because when i click on the sample in the browser window, that little blue bar that pops up on the bottom of the screen that tells you how long the sample is doesn't appear.

I have a Pentium processor running at 1.6ghz with Windows XP home installed and an Echo Gina 24 sound card.

Is the little "headphones" icon enabled above the browser window?

I usually try and check for that kind of stuff before going on here with my problems and what not.

How bout in audio preferences, where you can select the output for Pre-Listen?

I know, you probably covered that too, but the odd chance that....
