I have just upgraded to 6.0.5 and I am getting alot of crackling during a live set. I have been monitoring memory usage which is at 110K and maybe running about 10% max CPU. Here are the specs for my DAW
AMD Athlon 2800 2.7Ghz
1.5 GB RAM

Any ideas what might be causing this???

Thanks in advance

Did you have this problem in previous versions? What was the last good version you used?

Well this version I am really working, I was using 6.0.3 and did not see the issues but then again I wasn't using as much as I am wiht this version. I am new to Ableton and was curious is anyone else expereincing theses issues with this version

I have had this problem (crackling appearing at lower-than-expected cpu/HD usage) rather often since v4, especially when working with large sets. I just bought 2GB ram for my computer hoping that will fix the problem. If you're really only using 110k, you probably have enough memory, though.

Is your audio card latency set appropriately? There is a lesson in Live for correctly setting your buffer size (latency). Check it out if you haven't.

I have found certain plugins to be the culprit sometimes. I noticed that everytime I use SIR Reverb, I get crackles very easily....now I don't use SIR anymore, even though I liked it.

I don't know where your problem stands, but I just upgraded from 1GB to 2GB, and my crackle problems appear to be almost entirely gone!
