How is this possible to have opened 2 live sets/ projects at the same time (on 1 computer of course)?

on a pc go into preferences and enable multiple instances of live.
then you'll be able to open another instance.
On a mac, make another copy of your whole live applications folder and reference that app when opening your second copy, maybe name it something like live 2 in your dock or whatever.
good luck.

together with the IAC-Driver you can sync both instances of live:
- In the master instance of live select an IAC-output port as "sync"
- In the slave instance select the corresponding IAC-Input port as sync and toggle the "EXT" Button.
If you don't have IAC Ports yet: Open the Audio-Midi Setup and enable IAC.

But what about Midi? I have the Novation Remotte SL. It seems like it gets confused about 2 Live apps running at the same time.
Have anyone experienced any other problem runnings 2 apps. IS IT STABLE FOR PERFORMNG LIVE THIS WAY?

Performing with 3 here.
No problems, but have to set up the MIDI prefs in 2 of the 3 instances every time I launch them.
