Whats up everyone I just got Ableton and a Trigger Finger and I see that people are programming them to start and play clips by hitting a pad instead of clicking the play symbol in arrangement mode. I tried to load the sample into a blank Impulse, and it worked, but it just played it for a quick second I want to be able to start a clip and have it keep playing until the clip or loop is over. here is an example video of what I mean

if anyone can help me please i would appreciate it.

Load your clips in to session view and loop them then hit midi learn, choose a clip and choose the pad on your trigger finger the one you want to trigger this clip.Done.
I mean if you want to have a clip to play over and over you must loop it.
You also can do this with ableton sampler if you have it.Just load your samples in to sampler loop them and play them with your midi controler.

thank u for you reply , i was wondering : why do u use the simpler ? i mean , the audio clips can be warped to loop and have many editings functions, what's the utility of playing the same clip through simpler ? i think having lfo's and other modulations right ? but what else ?
