Ableton Forum

Here's my setup:
Kurzweil PC1X (Controller)
E-mu Xmidi 1x1 (MIDI to USB Cable)
Ableton

I've gone over the manuals for both programs over and over again and I can't figure out what's wrong. I've installed the drivers and Ableton acknowledges the Xmidi as a device, but when I play... nothing happens.

Any help would be immensely appreciated. Thanks!

I think I may know what the root of the problem is, but I don't really understand what I can do. I ran the diagnostics on the PC1X. I did the MIDI test, and it resulted with this text on my LCD: MIDI test fail (t).

Probably not a good sign... does anyone know what to make of it?
