search youtube: "Ableton AND wiimote" and you'll find a wide variety of posers wanting to be hip ;)

yes, i want to use it as my live controller and it works well. the feeling is great, but with faders and potis you are much more flexible and the accuracy is better.
so, my testing is not over... i will investigate! lol

I have been one of those ”posers wanting to be hip” for the past 3 years. I perform regularly with Wiimotes. Rather than trying to be hip, as Machinate unfortunately concluded about us posers, wiimotes enhance my experience on stage, detaching me from the laptop and its screen and allow me to interact better with other musicians. I perform almost always with acoustic/electric instrument players.

On the other hand, I don't use them much when I play solo, mostly because the instruments they play are better suited to be played in ensemble situations.

yes, it's the best controller I have had so far. It's physical. It allows me to rock out. The audience can follow the gesture and associate it with the sound, like with an instrumentalist.

And it's dead easy to set up. And is super cheap.

check out Gustavo Bravetti

some great use of alternative controllers!

I tried the wii-mote thing a couple years back - worked great and as Pepe says easy to set up

I also turned my web-cam into d-beam style controller which was cool

All good fun but probably would have spent the time better making tracks as I havent really done anything with it since!
