Now that most Live users probably realize that you have to easy on the fx when rendering, I was just wondering if there were any other tips as to how to work around this rendering quagmire.

I discovered tonight (sorry if this is old news) that in OS X you can use the equalizer in iTunes to 'brighten up' and invigorate tracks that already seem too bright and vigorous in Live, yet render forever flat. The only problem is that although you can create an eq preset, you cannot add a unique eq to each individual iTune track. So you can only get a general improvement. Just remember to set it back to the default unless you want your mp3s to sound wack.

Now I know that all of the pc users are licking their chops because you probably don't have this problem, but I just wanted to peacefully inquire as to alternatives, i.e. do most render in Logic, etc.? I have this silly notion that I can do everything in Live...

ok so there is a huge rendering thread just below this and I was too lazy to scroll'n search. still I think it is valid to wonder how others are going about this rendering business successfully....

I just wanted to say that you certainly can have EQ settings for each song in iTunes Under 'info' for each song you can set EQ presets and volume, along with all the id tag stuff.

Sorry, I'm not much help with rendering, although I did just think (probably said before by someone else?) that if effects are a problem, can you just record the set onto a single track, then turn off all effects and just render that track? Possibly by saving a copy of the set to be used for the rendering, where you could delete all the other tracks.

Maybe it is too early in the morning, but I cannot quite process your 'one track' idea...Although it did remind me of another -- how about importing a Live set into Reason and then rendering it there? Seems Reason was always good for stable rendering. Or Kontakt?
