How to SAVE AUDIO SAMPLES in SAMPLER ?

I have a AIFF sample in SAMPLER.. However I only need that kickdrum in there and also the source is a track on a CD..
So I need to make sure I will not lose that source of the sample (which is from a CD)..
They told me to "collect all and save"..
but it hasn't worked I think..
Do I have to "solo" the SAMPLE track ?
Please let me know,
Thanx,
Matteo

Hi,
What you can do is:
-save the Sampler preset
-right click on the saved preset, in the Lie Browser
-choose 'manage file'
-in the file manager on the right side, click 'yes' for collecting the sample, and then 'collect and save' at the bottom of the file manager.
The sample will be saved into your Library/Samples/Waveform/Imported
Kind regards,
Amaury

Hi,
Once you have loaded your sample into Sampler, and tweaked the sound as you like it, you can save a preset by clicking the little icon looking like a floppy disk, on top right corner of the Sampler.
I guess a good reading of the manual wouldn't hurt, as this information is all in there.
Kind regards,
