I really like this idea!
Love the general idea but that audio demo is ridiculous. They went at this unit the wrong way if thats all it does. It should have been designed so that the Radio signals picked up acted like a carrier signal effecting whatever you were playing through the thing. That would open the door to a million strange sounds. As it is now, it sounds like a guitar playing over a radio.

Interesting.
This brings up obvious copyright issues. What happens if I tune into Neil n' Bob in the morning, jam with my new filter, and inadvertantly record thier witty reparté?
If you're using it on stage, and there's another track in there, are you "rebroadcasting or publically performing" the other music illegally?
I know that in a world of sampling and mash-ups, this isn't going to be a significant concern, but it is interesting nonetheless.

"The MF/FM has an on-board analog radio tuner, capable of locking into frequencies across the FM radio band. Mix any instrument with live radio signals, and tweak the voltage controlled oscillator for modulated madness and creativity.
The new MF/FM begins shipping April FIRST."
C'mon guys they've even capitalised it for you.
