sample analysis slow as molasses

Hey everyone...Running a macbook pro and importing songs from a lacie external hd. sample analysis is really slow and freezes up everything else. can't trigger other samples at all...anyone else got this problem?

exact same problem here.....bringing in a new track that hasn't been analyzed does one of more of the following for me:
1.. live freezes
2. track gets analyzed but really slowly
3. can no longer play tracks or audio drops out
i changed my computer from a mac mini to a macbook so i know its not hardware related.

Yep, just noticed it myself. Sample analysis seems to bog down the whole application.
For testing purposes, I dragged one unanalyzed track into Live. Sample analysis, at first, went smoothly until approximately 65% finished, then slowed signiicantly to barely a crawl. From that point on, I could not trigger any clips and the GUI was extremely slow.
STATS: Mac G5, Dual 2.5 Ghz, OSX 10.5, Live 6.0.10
Did either of you two find a solution?
Or anyone else? I've got a show tommorow, hopefully I can find a remedy.

Update:
Even after sample analysis, I cannot trigger clips and Live is running slow.

UPDATE:
This problem occurs when I use Live 6.0.5 as well.
I removed com.ableton.live.plist, but the problem remains.

UPDATE:
It looks like my problem is directly related to my use of the aggregate audio device for cueing through the headphone jack. Were either of you two(first posters) using aggregate audio device?
When the program is stalled following slow sample analysis, if I switch (in preferences) the audio to 'built in' then the stall clears and Ableton works fine. I can then go back to 'aggregate audio device' and play everything normally.
