Dear Live Users,
I am proud to announce OSCulator 2.0.
With this software, you can convert OSC messages to MIDI control changes, keyboard keystrokes, or control a Kyma Sound workstation. You can also use a Nintendo Wiimote wireless remote control (with 3 accelerometers!) to act as an OSC device as well! This is absolutely fantastic (take a look at http://ssc-media.com/Movies/WiimoteOscu ... -large.mov for more info, or read the OSCulator FAQ).

To download OSCulator 2.0, please go to the (new) website, here:
http://www.osculator.net

New Features:
- Nintendo Wiimote support!!!
- MIDI Control Changes!!!
- Actions toggle enable/disable/solo
- Possibility to put the main window on top, like a floating tool

Changes:
- Keycode Helper now shows a menu with a list of all opened applications. When an application is selected, Keystrokes are sent to that application only, even if it is hidden.
- Range column is no longer displayed
- Range calibration is no longer possible
- Preferences have been reorganized
- Activity monitoring (red lights) has been optimized
- File format changed and results in files of smaller size. You can still open older files.
- Kyma Related:
- In Kyma, you can now change the parameters mappings directly from the VCS (070317 AV/C firmware only).
- Now the Flame interface is automatically discovered, and is 'hot-pluggable'.
- The 'Capybara' logo is only displayed when a connection to the Flame has been successfully done.
- The Flame driver has been greatly enhanced and is compatible with all firmwares.

Best Regards,
Camille Troillard

Hi,

I'll post a tutorial on OSCulator website (http://www.osculator.net) as soon as I have the time to write it. In the meantime, here is a quick overview of what you should do in order to use OSCulator with Live:

1. go in the preferences and activate "OSCulator Out" virtual MIDI port as a "Remote" port.
2. in OSCulator, assign a MIDI control change to a action in the list of detected OSC messages
3. set Live in MIDI learn mode, and assign the MIDI CC to a Live control.

if you repeat this steps for another OSC messages, you should be sure that while to put Live into Learn mode, OSCulator only outputs one kind of action, that is the current action is set to Solo. If you don't do this, Live will be confused and may scramble your settings.

Best,
Cam

Sorry, no windows version.
It would require too much work for me, so I prefer to keep only one good version!

If you want to do this on windows, use GlovePIE. It supports wii and
many other controllers.
