There's still a major bug in Live when using Reason. I have made a small loop and at the end of the loop playback just stops.

I tried it on both my laptop as well as my desktop. Both running WIndowsXPsp1

Yeah, it's DAMN annoying isn't it. I'm not sure its not a general reason prob though, I'm getting the same thing happen in cubase sx! It would be good if it can be fixed at the Ableton end if that's possible though.
There's also a few vst plugs that are still not remembering their settings properly. It's pretty intermittent and I've not found a pattern yet, but the Fish fillets plugins don't work as they should. Its a real shame as I rely heavily on the Blockfish compressor.
BTW I'm on a P4 2.8ghz, ASUS P4C800 board, Terratec EWX24/96 soundcard,2gig of 400mz crucial ram, WIN XP.
Ableton, pleeeeeeease create a good general purpose stonewall limiter!

Cheers

rewire problems with Reason

I have not experienced problems with CubaseSX and Traction using Reason as rewire-slave, so I think it's probably Live's rewire implementation which is causing the trouble.

I hope Ableton can fix it.

I don't seem to have the problem using Live 3.01 and Reason 2.5 on Win XP. Used to have it back in version 1.5 or 2 but seems fine now. It was a problem only when Live was set to loop in the arrangement. Then Reason would miss the first beat of the next bar after the loop point.

Same here except that it will loop ok for a while then hang on on a stuck synth note in Reason.

Loop bug back

I run Reason 2.5 and Live 3.0.1 on an AMD 2100+ box with Delta 410 card, 1Gb Ram. W2K SP3.

I have found that when loop is set between the two programs, it plays once, the next loop around makes no sound at all, and then it begins to loop normally again after that.

I haven't had time to find other instances, but after the problem was fixed back in 2.x whatever version it was, it is annoying that a new loop problem has cropped up!

I have been planning on blowing my OS, and reinstalling everything. I doubt that will be the fix, however.

I love this program, so please, a fix for it in January!

At least you guy's still can Rewire to Reasons! Today I upgraded to 2.1.2 from 2.0.3 and after installing the upgrade it seems I lost Rewire all together. It seems Live can not recognize Reasons as a Rewire slave or host any more. What is strange is I also now lost Rewire in 2.0.3 so now I have no way to rewire with reasons with 2.0.3 either. I tried uninstalling 2.1.2 with no luck and reinstalled it and still no luck. Has this happened to any one else?

I haven't really tried the 2.12 version because of the pause feature. But I've worked a lot with 2.03 and rewire with reason 2.0 worked for me (I didn't use much rewire channels though - rather worked with a stereo out from Reason then recorded track by track in Live). I remember that for a while, I've had a hard time with Digital performer and the rewire extension installed by Reason (under os9).
