Hey people, just wanted to inform you that I just finished my first track using Ableton Live.

Everflow

Everything was sequenced in Live, then further mixed in a Creamware Scope system, and finally recorded in Wavelab. It's actually also the first track that I actually recorded my guitar on (I'm not a great player but I think I got it sounding reasonably in time )
It's hasn't been mastered yet or anything, except for a little bit of compression on the final mix.

love it! good work for your first effort. Love the sounds Albino makes... The melody really builds up quite well too.

before this I used Cubase

which one do you like better? once i started using live i couldnt go back to cubase, although i have recently had to use it for one project.

Well I love the session view in Live, and stuff like clip envelopes and midi control works great. I guess Cubase is better arrange-wise so I might not completely switch over just yet, but making this track in Live didn't give me any real problems so...

i found that once i got going with live, i couldnt get back to Cubase, its just got a simple, clean and fast interface.

You should put some solo instrument there... And more detailed drum parts, after some time it makes loop sense
