Hi

Just got Live 6 packaged with a free Akai MPD-16. I'm fairly new to Live... I messed around with v5 for a while. I''m using Impulse and the first eight pads on the MPD16 and I'm wondering if there is some way to use all sixteen pads to trigger sixteen different sounds within the same track.

definitely. Read the manual section on "racks". You can put two impulses in one rack, and trigger them both on the same track.

I found this really useful when setting up my Trigger Finger. I've now got 8 presets x 16 sounds of beats all in one rack.. marvellous..
