Ableton Forum

I must be missing something simple here, but I'm having trouble. I've been recording in Arrangement View, but I'm trying to do it in Session View now. I have clips in another track I want to synchronize with. But I don't see how to start recording a new clip at the same instant I start playing the exisiting clips. If I start the playback and then click for a new clip, I'm part way through the recorded clip and out of sync with it.

What am I missing?
