As much as I would love to love Reaktor...

..its too f**king unstable to be of any practical use. changing ensembles amidst a set causes Live to crash every single time. This has got to be the most useless piece of software I have ever owned, and I totally regret purchasing Komplete.
Think of how amazing Reaktor would be if it were just stable...ahh in a perfect world...

How perfect Battery 3 would be for me if it would only save empty cell's midi mappings... Until then, I've stopped using it.
Thanks NI!

Reaktor is stable here, in fact from what I can tell Reaktor has been very stable since version 5. Check the Support forum at NI, not a lot of crashes being reported.

Reaktor 5 is pretty stable now for general use, it hardly ever crashes, but the poster's right, it can be unstable when you are changing ensembles while live is playing.
My solution would be: make sure you're on the latest R5 and don't switch ensembles while you're in the middle of a set.

If thats your problem, therin lies your problem. Take Reaktor to the limit and "Sample" it if you have problems period the end. Trying to "change" Reaktor ensembles amidst a "set" is ridiculous in the first place. Maybe at P9/MAC G10 10,000 Ghz...
Otherwise
Make it, sample it.

sounds like he's using the original reaktor 5 version, and not any of the updates. When reaktor 5 first came out, i had the same problems until i installed the update

I'm using the latest update, 5.1.2.
It's absolutely frustrating when I'm working on a tune, open an ensemble, and Live crashes. I uninstalled the AU plugin and am now just sampling the stand-alone. I guess the workaround will have to do.
*quick update*
The VSTi does not have this problem...which is a total bummer because that keeps me from using Automap Universal for Reaktor. Oh well, can't always have my way with NI heh.
