I thought that if you purchased Live 5, you could get the update 5.2 for free. Is this not the case?
After I downloaded 5.2 to my Mac, before I could use it, it prompted me for a new serial number for the 5.2 which I didn't have. Where do I get it?
Thanks

Hi,
If you unlocked Live 5 before January 10th 2006, then you have to pay a small fee for the Intel Mac upgrade, which is 5.2. But that fee will be fully reimbursed if you later choose to upgrade to Live 6.

Hi,
You've got to go on our website, in the shop's upgrade page. You first have to be logged in to your account and have your current serial number registered n order to see the right upgrade options:

I did what you said and I got the following message -
The serial number you entered is already registered to another user account. Our support team has been notified.
Now, I did just get my new Mac and had Live installed on my Dell january of 06. I don't even remember creating an account on ableton except on the forum. When I uninstalled 5 from my Dell, I don't think I used the actual software CD. Is that what I have to do?
please advise. thank you for your patience.
