Latency issues with Macbook Pro!

Hi all,

I've got the latest state of the art Macbook Pro 2.33Ghz 2 Gigs RAM 17" monitor. An absolutely sweet machine, however when using ableton live there seems to be a quite substantial latency problem - I'm running it through CoreAudio and it just seems I have to increase the buffer size quite alot to make it smooth - giving a latency of about 25ms which is a bit too noticeable - I would have thought my laptop would be good enough - is there anything I can do to improve this? Someone suggested to download ASIO drivers but I can't seem to find them for Mac OS X - any ideas?

Cheers
Edd

Just a quick question, which version of LIVE are you using?

You can try to disable inputs in preferences? This might remove some latency?

Best,
AB

25ms is really not that much if you're talking about both the in and out latency.

The inputs are disabled already... Hmm at 25ms there's a very noticeable gap at the end of each loop...

that version is not made for Intel-based Macs. upgrade to 5.2.x for Intel compatability.

Indeed, you HAVE to at least use 5.2 with a MBP.
