Bome's and Live midi mapping won't work simultaneously

When I'm using Bome's MIDI translator on my padkontrol to for example control ctrl+alt+b, it works fine. However, the pads that aren't set up with bome's, but with live's own midi mapping don't work.

Surely, it has to be possible to use both bome's midi translator and live's midi mapping at the same time?

Here's a pic of the input+output stuff:

As you can see, the padkontrol's input is brown :?

Hi,

I guess a single MIDI device can't be shared between two applications on a PC (and certianly on a Mac as well). You could remap the whole padkontrol via Bome?

Hm, perhaps. I don't know very much on how to use Bome's, but I'll give it a go and let you know how it turns out.

Hi,

I think it's not about Bome, but generally, two programs can't share one device.

I pretty much decided to put away the PK after this topic, but I decided to have a go again today with more knowledge and everything.

I have set up a bunch of key commands to be triggered by PK's pads through Bome MIDI translator. I can not however make use of Live's internal MIDI mapping functionalities.

I've tried to make the incoming and outgoing MIDI message the same (CC 111), but nothing happens while in MIDI map mode. I tried re-mapping note messages as well, but that didn't work either.

So are there any Bome's/PadKontrol geniouses out there who know how to deal with this?

Edit: I've KIND OF solved it. By using key mapping, I can work around this problem. It's not the best solution, and has its limitations, but it'll do for now. Of course, suggestions are still welcome.
