Best headphones for home studio?

I need to get some headphones as my neighbours are complaining about the noise late at night, whats the best out there?
I have AKG K271s and I'm very happy with them

Popular brands: AKG, Senheiser, Beyerdynamic, Ultrasone, Sony. Which one suits you best is very relative. Different people prefer different headphones

list to go through;
1. open or closed? : recommend (semi) open
2. impedance (ohm).. : better low than high if you source it direct from your comp. or other low powered sources
3. brand..: you're on your own here.. go listen in a store.. sorry; too personal..
I listen to a pair of Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro..

Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO are next on my list. I hear they are some of the best. Their frequency response is between 5 - 35,000 Hz which is beyond what the human ear can hear

The reason I got them is because I needed some closed cans (I also have senn hd580's which are awsome! but open) At the time I started looking around, these were the only "top honor"/"in stock" that I could find.
Wow, a lucky break! They have a bit of bass added (not flat) but they are a pleasure to listen through and man are they comfy and non-fatiguing!

Sennheiser HD650. I've used them for over two years now, never had a single problem. My impression is: If you can't hear it with those, it isn't there.
