After a show last night, I'm convinced that if I designed and marketed a standard folding table that had wider legs at bottom and was a goood 2-3 feet higher, I could sell them for a mint to laptop musicians. I swear if I play another gig, all hunched over because the table is too low, i'll lose it. ok just thought i'd put it out there.

Hell, yeah, man, I've been trying to work out an easy solution to having my laptop up higher in front of my face. Heading off to the woodshop now...

Motherfuck-yeah! That's like my biggest annoyance with anything performance-oriented- it's so fucking hard getting a proper rig.
However, if you're just using a laptop on stage, definitely go with a monitor-stand, like this one:

I'm saving for a new stand to compliment my K&M Spider Pro - it will most likely be a Jaspers Alu, like this one:

just with more holders and a nice laptop/sheet holder like this one:

yeah, I've done the keyboard stand thng too, it's more like the standard club provided tables are of course really too short for this type of thing. Seems like it'd be great if clubs started picking up something like this you know most people have a controller as well as the laptop, and usually stage set ups include more than one performer. I don't know, if they sold them, i'd buy one.
