Are you opening Live by double-clicking on the .als file? If yes, open Live first, and then open the .als - I have that problem every now and again, too.

and if everythings totally fucked, then Ableton support can sometimes fix things.

Re-name your vst plugin folder and open the file. Try deleting the latest added tracks or other tracks, or plugins. Rename the vst folder to its original name and see if it works. Repeat as many times as neccesary. Worked for me, fortunately!

no nothing helps, the problem remains :? i also think why this thing is happening why the fail works all the time and then suddenly it starts crashing.

Try dragging each single track from the project into a new empty project, so you can perhaps find out which track is the offending one.

i cant touch nothing in the project, it crashes immediately when i push open file.

i also checked that Ableton log file and i saw these failures there ( i dont know even if they are failures but still check them out) , i dont know if they are related to that crash i keep getting?

9932 ms. Audio time allocations: Midi Delay: Capacity/Used/Failures: 52428/0/0
9932 ms. Audio time allocations: InterDomainEvents: Capacity/Used/Failures: 37449/0/0

What I meant was:
When you launch Live, you have a new empty project. Now go to Live's internal browser and locate your offending project. Click the little triangle next to the project symbol and it will show you the single tracks of the project in the browser.
From there you can drag the single tracks into your empty project, one by one. As soon as it crashes you at least know which track is probably the offending one.

thank you, finally got it fixed, first track was damaged and caused the error, and again thanks i thought there were no chance to get this project back.

I'm having the same problem... I will try that method of dragging each track one by one... the weird thing is how/why would one track become damaged ?
