You can change the sound via the program change dropdown menus in a midiclip. But I havent found a system. Its very random wich sound you get.

i think this should help you with the patch names:

as far as it crashing, i dunno, ok here as well. But obviously i'm an os or two behind the OP. ---> oh wait, not necessarily, but probably.

well, it works for me here, so you might be missing something. its the general midi patch list. furthermore, to get the gm drum kit, use sub bank 2 .

Well, I stand very corrected. With some effects, verb, compression, eq, those could be useable!

Thanks.

You`re right. Didnt work the last time I tried. Think I was on Live 6.01 and osx 10.4.8 then. But it works now.

Great stuff :)

Soundfonts you say... How do you add a new sondfont to the device then?

lesseeeee, i'm not at home right now, but it's something like this:

yer hardrive---> library ----> audio ----> uhhhhhhmm, sound banks? I think that's where it is. You drop your .sf2 in there and it wuill come up as a sound bank in dls music device.

i can confirm when i get home.

Nice. It was library/audio/sounds/banks.

Maybe you know what to do with .sfpack files? Placed one there but it didnt show up in DLS.

hd/library/audio/sounds/banks

drop your .sf2 there and you're good.
