loop clip glitchiness

Hi.
This has been a problem with every version of live: When you take a perfectly trimmed clip, say a drum beat, and loop it, there is often a glitch at the top of the loop when it cycles back around.
In other programs, when you loop the sample, there is no glitch, so it's not inherent in the sample.
It can be very annoying...

I think I have the same problem. I have Live Rewired into Pro Tools and each time Live loops, it skips half a beat. I don't have this problem with 2.0.3.

aviavi, is the "fade" option checked as default in your preferences. I've noticed a few clips with clicks when they loop but that's not so current for me.

Hi folks,
at first I think aviavi and moogmini are talking about different things. When you talk of "Loop" you have to try to seperate between "song loop" and "clip loop".
aviavi,
it's probably the easiest if you could send me a selftcontained song containing a clip where you have this problem. Please try to pack that song (.zip, .sit.,...) and to select the shortest clip you have with this problem.
moogmini,
please explain a bit more what you do in ProTools and Live, what the loop settings are and where it skips the half beat.
regards,
Alex

Same problem here,
I play a complete imported song(wav.) with perfect warp markers and every time I set a new loop within the song it will have an audio drop out the first time the loop cycles, the secound time will play fine. This happens every time I make a new loop. Cpu is always low but I do get the Disk overload light to come on when the drop out happens.
I also get audio drop out about every 10 secounds once I have been runing Live for more then 45 minutes and cpu is still low and the disk overload light does not turn on when this happens. If I exit live and reopen it will be fine for another 45minutes and then it will start again with the drop outs. Do you guys get this also, because of these 2 things I can't use Live like I would like to and it is very frustrating. I have read of a slow internal HD being the cause of some audio drop outs, do any of you use a external 7200, 8mb cache, 8.9seek time, hard drive?
Sony Vaio pcg grx520
P4, 512ram, 30hd, windowsXP, Live 2.0.3
Live would be my dream come true if I could only get these drop outs to stop!

I am using Pro Tools 6.1.1 w/ Live 3.0.2 on XP. Regardless of the loop settings, Live always plays the first beat of a loop, glitches/skips the second, "catches up" around the third and plays each subsequent repetition of the loop fine.

I also get that "stuttering" effect with exactly the same symptoms.

No audio drop out but stuck notes if I use Reason in rewire.[/i]
