Is it possible to use GB:s instruments in Live? As i am quite a beginner with MIDI I could not figure out how to utilisize those 2-5 Gb of sounds and samples that came with GB.
Is it possible?
If it is, how?

This is not possible in a direct way...
If you were to Rewire the two together... yes.
Garageband would have to be slave. But - you could then sequence in Live, and send the midi date to Garageband tracks with Garageband instruments enabled on those tracks.
When your happy with a good section (a loop, a verse, chorus, etc).. just bounce that track down, and them import the wave into Live for further composition/ mangling.

I think all garage band loops ans samples are in the .aiff format, which Live 6 can pull up just like a .wav or mp3.

ALL the sampler instruments in EXS format, including the ones from Logic AND Garageband, can be directly imported into Live 6, and edited into sampler!

record a note of the instrument you want. bounce it. import the aif. file that you have created into simpler and you have that instrument. I did it with the moog from logic and it worked fine.
