Major Problem w/ Selector Buttons- HELP!!!

I recently upgraded to 6.0.7 from 4.1 and now when I open a new session anytime I click on a selector button it opens it for a millisecond and then closes it. It does this for any of the selector buttons from the Info View to the Devices or Plug Ins. Has anyone on had a similar problem? Is there a way to fix it?

This problem also does not allow me to switch between Arrangement and Session View Selectors.

Also, when I try to activate the record button it does the same thing. It turns it on and immediately shuts it off, so I can't record anything. This also happens if I use the pull-down menu.

At this point Live is pretty much useless until I can fix this problem, so I need help!

I am using Live with a PowerBook G4 1.25 ghz / 1.25 GB Ram / 100 GB HD 7200rpm. I also have a Lemur, O2, and electric bass/guitar(s). These problems above happen even when I'm running Live by itself with nothing hooked up to my computer.

Hi,

Do you have the IAC driver enabled in Audio/MIDI setup, and are the ports enabled in Live? If yes, try to deactivate them in Live.

Yeah, that was the problem.

However, I believe I need the IAC driver enabled in order for the Lemur to send and receive signals.

Any recommendations on this? Any other Lemur owners out there with instructions on getting the Lemur to play nicely with Live? I found the JazzMutant instructions leaving something to be desired.

Thanks

Hi,

I don't have a Mac to try right now, but I guess the IAC driver provides multiple channels, and I guess that if you don't short circuit a channel, you should be fine.

The JazzDaemon software provides its own virtual MIDI ports so you don't have to deal with IAC Busses.
If you DO want to deal with IAC Busses, do not connect an input and an output to the same IAC Bus, as they are internally connected. For instance, do not connect both Lemur In 0 and Lemur Out 0 to IAC Bus 1.

Thanks for clearing that up. I still haven't finished reading the manual but once I had the Lemur in my hands I had to start playing with it.
