VST instruments drifting in and out of tune

I am new to Live and have been VERY happy with the program, but whenever I get too involved in recording vst instruments, I run into a problem in which they start drifting in an out of tune.
This has never happened to me in Tracktion, and I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. It happened just now after I dropped a Kjaerhus reverb into a send track. I exited and restarted but the song still drifts. In this case the instrument is Wusikstation (basic piano sample), but when I switch to another vst I get the same thing.
It's almost as if some pitch-related (mis)information has beein recorded somehow, but I don't see this anywhere.
This is REALLY disrupting to the workflow as I'm sure you can imagine, and sours me against this otherwise phenominal program.
Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks,
