Ableton with Korg Padkonrol - Lights won't go out!

Hi,

I recently purchased a Korg Padkontrol and am having a few problems with it when using it with Ableton Live 6. I'm not sure if it's a problem with Ableton, the Padkontrol or both, so i'm posting this in both forums in the hope i can get to the bottom of it. It seems to be a problem with both in some ways as it's not happening in any other program, but it's the pad that seems to be malfunctioning in some way.

Firstly, the lights on the pads are constantly on when using scene 1 in ableton. It's fine when you select any other scene, but scene 1 appears lit up all the time. I have tried changing the illumination mode on the padkontrol, but that doesn't make a difference. The illuminations work and patterns flash as they should when they should depending on the setting but other than that they remain lit up all of the time :?

Secondly, again this is only a problem in scene 1 in Ableton, the velocity setting doesn't show correctly, and either shows i'm hitting at maximum 127, or 0. It alternates between the two, so when you hit it, it shows 127, then 0 straight after. Sometimes it alternates between the two, so the first time you hit the pad it will show 127, the next time you hit it it will show 0 :?

Thirdly, and again as far as i can tell only in scene 1, when assigning the midi controls to the pads to trigger different loops, when i try to assign the loops to the pads, it comes up with an error message saying the pad has already been assigned to a loop and do i want to overwrite it, even when selecting different pads. how can this be when im selceting a different pads? :?

I have tried uninstalling the padkontrol and Ableton and then reinstalling them, but that doesn't work. I've tried reloading the factory presets and that doesn't work. Any ideas on what this could be and whether its a problem with the padkontrol, Ableton , or both!?!?

The only way to then stop the pads being lit it to load it with another preloaded scene, which leads to my next problem...

If you use the live simpler preloaded scene, the padkontrol works in scene 1, and the pads light up and go off as they should and the velocity displays correctly, but when i trigger a loop from EZdrummer, rather than just playing the loop itself, it makes a sound from a drum kit as well as triggering the loop, even when i've closed EZdrummer. This might just be a simple settings thing in Ableton Live, but i can't seem to work it out!

If anyone can help shed some light it would be massively appreciated :D

Cheers
