I keep getting a file named "gmon.out" that appears on my desktop after some Live sessions. Anybody else get this? I believe this is somesort of debug dump or the like.

Good guess, actually. This is the output of a program compiled with the -pg switch, which allows for application profiling with a utility called gprof. However, I find it very odd that you should be getting such a file.. this compiler switch is generally disabled for release builds of software on the unix platform.

I'd advise emailing ableton support with this issue...

i've noticed this with some vst's. i can't remember specifically which ones, but i have come across it with a couple of the freeware ones. maybe a looping plugin? anyhoo, it's harmless, but i agree it's pretty annoying - i just kept on deleting it and never had a problem...

It happens to me when i use the Absynth VSTi inside of a Live project. I also just delete when finished & haven't had any problems.
