Manage Library problem

Hello,
When i click the manage library button,
Live starts to check all my files,
then hangs at 4141 files every time.
I have tried three times, and live does not make it past 4141 files.
I have a large library 70GB
the library is on a network disk(i suspect this is the problem)
I-mac c2d 512ram 10.4.9
