Hi guys,

I just bought a Novation Remote 25SL, and I loaded it up with the new Ableton Live template. It seems to work properly, but I'd like to be able to control this part of Ableton :

with the touchpad, i.e. using the touchpad like the PC mouse : I know how to configure the Remote for instance attributing X1=CC105, X2=none, Y1=CC106, but what I would like to do is just using the touchpad to control Ableton and choosing in Ableton the effects I want to control, with the 2 drop-down lists.
I'm not sure I'm clear enough, but if you can help, I really would appreciate!!

there's no way to control the virtual touch pad from a real one, however you can midi learn the sliders one per axis, which will do the same thing... only problem is that a lot of touchscreens use several messages... for example one for the actual touch event, and then two for coordinates..... there could also be two extra variables something like difference of x and y axis.... (kaoss pads have five messages total) so it's hard to use....

I would sudgest downloading midi ox, because you can do a LOT of neat midi routing with it and you could also temporarilly "mute" all the mesages except the one you're trying to learn. good luck,
