CPU sparks at end of soundclip

Hi,
Maybe obvious to many, but not to me.
When I play some mp3 clips of complete songs, I have CPU bursts that make the audio output all stuttery when the clip comes to an end.
Now I can solve this buy stopping the clip before the end, but i seem to forget to do this sometimes when playing 3-4 clips at once.
Is there a way to prevent audio from glitching?
Maybe it has something to do with the loop mode? I don't use it that much actually.
Only on certain clips.
