Hi folks,
I've posted an mp3 of a gig I did Friday night. The entire set was done in Live on a Dell Inspiron 8100 through an RME Multiface. I used a Peavey PC1600x to control levels and channel muting.
The streaming file:

The downloadable file:

I'm doing a series of gigs throughout Germany in June and July to support my upcoming record so I'd like to really get this set solid. And since this was my first live electronic show ever, I'd certainly appreciate any (gently worded) comments.
Thanks!

Hi Dennis... nice work! should be proud of your first live gig, i would have enjoyed the music if i was there, hell i am enjoying the music now.
First up, i too have a dell 8100 and i am days away from my multiface. i take it the setup is treating you good? Please let me know, and what OS you running on? XP right? I have tried so many other sound cards with this setup and it seems as if the multiface is the only way to go. Have you tried with any success other sound cards?
one last question and then a comment. Were are you getting those amazing bass's from? And some dont care for vocals but i do- so i was glad to see you brought some in to the mix.

i have noticed a couple of clitchs/dropouts in the mix. is that due to any one perticular mouse movement or was it random?

Loved it!

Dennis:
Great mix - I especially like the hip-hop elements about halfway through.
What type of venues will you be playing in Germany?

Dave,
Thanks!
I'm playing a combination of club dates and festivals. The schedule of confirmed dates is currently on the front page of my website, and will be updated as new things come up.
Take care,

Dennis,
Referring back to your comments about my set - do you mean the 'timeshift artifacts' mostly in the first song? That song was a stretch - literally, a 75bpm tune I played at 95bpm. I noticed it sounding a little weird, but I liked it too much for an opening track to drop it. I don't think I'll be stretching tunes that much in the future. If there are other instances you've noticed, please let me know - I'd like to be able to get as much out of this experience as possible.
peace

Hey Rx,
I hear it pretty much throughout the whole set. I found it the most prominent in the vocal material.
Hope this helps,

Do you mean the seemingly constant vibrato? Could you describe it? Most of the tracks are played withing a 2-4 bpm of their original tempo. If it's the vibrato-type sound, it's because it's in most of the sounds. If it's some lo-fi pops and crackles, those are part of the songs as well.
Check it out around 27.30-28.00 - you'll hear the crackle fade out with the song. However, I know what you mean about it on the vocals, as it's pretty obvious in the next song, which, now that I think about it, was played about 10-12 bpm slower than it was made.
