it seems that live is only able to show a certain amount of parameters .on some synths i cannot automate the things i want such as filter cutoff.. i can do it in cubase but not in ableton .. this is very annoying as it is holding me back from doing the things i want to do when makin music

that's a ableton live thing... people have been complaining for years about that...
