Something really strange took place yesterday. I opened on Live by clicking on the desktop icon and was promted with an error or something about the current live project being made with a more current version of Live. I went to the session to open it up directly, but all the Preferences had been reset to default. I then opened it up today (via the icon) which opened fine, but Live ask for the serial # to unlock...which I had been thru this process about a month ago?? After unlocking again I noticed a check updates page was open...was this all a deal to get you to update?? I'm confused??

This happen to a buddy of mine just this week as well.. Not only did he have to put in his key again... all his live sets were corrupt and wouldnt open afterwards... So sad for him. Thankfully, he hadnt had the program that long, so he only lost like 5 or 6 Live sets..

Yeah, after you put the key in i remember it taking you to the webpage with your cd key in the url as to verify your copy. Not sure if the program still does that redirect to the websiten or not but i have seen it before. Thats probably what happen when you put your key in again.. Just guessing though..

Nothing seems to be corrupt....it's just odd and I didn't know if the redirect was a valid Ableton website due to the strangeness. Do people from Ableton reposnd to these posts??
