Hello.

I have some loops that I have created in other programs like Sonar and Soundforge. They are set at a certain BPM say 115. They loop at exactly 115 in these programs. I know they are correct because I have whole songs relying on the times and accuracy of the loops. When I break these loops down and bring them into Ableton, they always get bumped to something that is close to 115 like 114.84 or 115.14 and it always sounds like arse. Is there something I'm missing? I've read in the manual that sometimes Ableton misinterprets loops but it is doing this everytime, on every loop, and at every tempo, plus the loops are very small - some 4 bar some 8 bar, so I can't see why Ableton wouldn't get this right.

One more question

Is it possible to change the tempo during a set without using the tempo scroll function. For instance, if I have a song playing at 100bpm and then I wanted to cut to a song at 105 or 110 through some type of automation?

For your second q: In the Session view, name scenes like : 120 bpm and when you launch that scene it will jump to the tempo you entered.

1st q: Have you tried adjusting warp markers after importing? Also, where it says 114.84 in the clip properties view, I think I might be right insaying that you can click there and enter your own value. Give it a go.
