Midi learn and cc-envelopes

Hello
This has been nagging me for a long time. I want a synth to be automated by CC-envelopes in a clip, and I want to do it by it's internal midi-learn routine. Ok. I ctrl-click my synth's parameter, and make an envelope in Live. Then, of course, when I ctrl-click another parameter, in order for it to be automated by another envelope, It will be assigned to the old envelope right away, since it is already running.
I know there are workarounds in Live, but this is something I need to do in other software to, and I can't? The hole concept with midilearn via control-click is working great with my hardware midi-controller, but I think I'm overseeing something crucial when using it with software?
