Is there any documentation on the General Multiband effect? It's not in the PDF manual. It looks kind of like a multiband compressor. However, there is no way that I can find to set the frequencies of the bands. Also the 4 compression knobs do not follow the conventions of the other compressors, so it's not clear what they really do.

What is the actual name of the effect ? Is this a 'Rack' effect ? If so it might be one which I built. When you let me know and if it is in fact one of mine when I get home tonight I'll open it up and take a look for you.

The name of the effect is General Multiband. I found it in the Mastering & Helper folder. It is a rack effect. But if you expand the effects chain in the rack, the first effect is also called General Multiband. That's the one I'm not sure about.

The frequencies are controlled with the 'Band' knobs while the 'Comp' knobs control the linked threshold and ratio for the compressor embedded in each band. The 'Output Level' knob is really only functioning as a bass boost - possibly an error.

Related: I posted a thread a while back with a multiband splitter rack for Live6 users that used EQ8 and wasn't destructive to the spectrum the way EQ Three is (though destructiveness is sometimes useful). You can add FX to each band's chain as you see fit.
