Hi guys,
just wondering.. does Live works with G5 processors?
I mean even if Live it's not been re-written for 64 bit?

I don't see why it shouldn't work !?!

as far as I know, not a single real 64-bit application is available yet. Logic certainly isn't, this is all "future music" .... as is so often the case with our favourite computer supplier :D

I read that emagic Logic audio is now 64 bit compatible, i think it's called express..
If i'd buy a G5 may i use Live with that machine?

don't know..

cheers

Yes, I'm positive Live works on a G5

These machines are downward compatible as there's not that much 64-bit software around yet.

ok,

that's what i wanted to know. a 32 bit app works on a 64 bit processor..
I thought it should be a 64 bit application for running on it.

cheers

Live worked well as a rewire instrument but it is unexpetedley quiting as a standalone app. Has anybody encounterd anything like this. As a side note I removed my VST plugs just to be sure they weren't causing the problem.
Any tips on whats going on

Will it quite unexpectedly every time?

On my machine, this happens too occasionally. Scary to think it'll decide to do so during a live set!

Logic does this every once in a while too, btw
