Waves dont work: choices for dynamic plugs?

Post by ovalf » Wed May 23, 2007 5:19 pm

I have much trouble with auomation and finally Nico of the support (this guy is good) tell me that Waves plugins are incompatible.
I love the dyamics plugins of waves and now I am searching good options.
Please suggest me good options (I love clearness, no dirty signals)
Thanks in advance and hugs from Brazil!

I bought PowerSuite 5 by Wave Arts. See http://www.wavearts.com

Nice plugs! CPU friendly. Nice user interfaces. Full of great features.

wot he said - WaveArts PowerSuite is cool - the Masterverb has a really sweet decay and the EQ's are really subtle and natural sounding

waves seems to work for me quite well in ableton, although, it does not work very well for me in ableton when i have more than just a few of the waves plugins running. the way i get around this and still have awesome quality sound on all the chanelles is the freeze function. some of them that i know are not going to need parameter adjustments i flatten also, that way you are left with just the audio and nofx automations for your computer to keep track of. i think i want to get logic pro. waves plugins are compatible with it just fine, and you can use logic and live together and get like 5 times as effeciant song building potential.

I had the same problem...
i found tc spark machine that inside has wonderful compressors and limiteers (Tc Works spark machine) and also Tc Wave Bundle 3
also Ultrafunk Sonitus3 is great...
i really prefer them now to waves...

waves and ableton 6.0.10

Post by dionroy » Tue Nov 06, 2007 12:09 am

I just installed Waves today, and when using Audio Units the plugins work as long as I dont use the power switch on it.

They work just fine until I try to shut em off, so i might just have to deal with it - but for what I do I dont need to turn them off and on all the time. Ill through them on a Send and then they just sit there and work.

Ive yet to try Midi tho, once that happens im sure ill run into another world of BS.

1. Waves doesnt work
2. Melodyne doesnt work with Rewire running
3. Whenever I have an effect in the Send and the project opens, unexplained static...

Im beginning ot think I need to move to Logic. arg. the list is getting LONG. Maybe 7.0 will be the grail - until then....

dude - if you havent checked out Live 7 yet I'd seriously try and get the next Beta

I dont even bother with my Waves since they updated the Compressor and EQ8 - they've done a damn fine job on the compressor
