Hello,

What do you mean exactly when you say your processor is going crazy? Does it have a really high level in the cpu meter, or are you getting pops and crackles/distortion etc?

I'm not familiar with the edirol ua-25, but if you're getting pops and crackles then try increasing the latency in audio settings, also google AISO4ALL, and try using that driver instead of the edirol one.

And... what plugins/vsts are you running for it to go crazy, cos if it's like 2 Batterys, Guitar Rig 2, Reaktor and a Massive then you might expect it to put a fair bit of strain on a 1gb Ram system... Especially if you've got alot of effects & audio tracks on there too.

Hi,

Live 5.01 or 5.02 are not Universal Binary, and don't run natively on the Intel Mac. So you can upgrade to 5.2, or to 6 directly, here:
http://www.ableton.com/upgrade

Note that Live 6 takes advantage of the duo core architecture. Live 5.2 does not.

Amaury

I registered after a google search on something like "Edirol crackle" found this page just to say thankyou, man. You are a legend, output latency slider to the right. All fixed! Thankyou very much, indeed.
