make a new clip in arrangement view?

Bummer that when i am sequencing a track in the arragement view i have to create a new (midi/impulse for example) clip in the session view and then paste it in or copy/paste then modify an existing clip vs. just control clicking to create a new one in the same view.
Thoughts?

Hi,
You can create a new clip in arrangement view by selecting a time range on the MIDI track, and choosing 'Insert MIDI clip', in the Insert menu, or use the associated keyboard shortcut. Is it what you are after?
