So I've been using Ableton for the past few months to do mostly live recording. I also have a Trigger Finger and am trying to figure out how to set my software and hardware up in order to be able to play chopped samples on the pads like an MPC. Any kind of help is help. Thanks

ideally you should get a nice sampler for that... that's what I do, however with some tideous work with instrument tracks and simplers... or sampler..... or even impulse you can do it.....
if you want I can send you a demo set cause this is just what I do...

have a search in the racks for MPC killer which is great as a template to set up your Trigger Finger for using many samples premapped..
Possible Solution

Congrats on the TF purchase. I just picked up one earlier this year.
To resolve your issue,
1. Download simpleslicer.zip instrument rack which cuts a loop into 16 slices then maps them to the white keys.
Simpleslicer website*

2. Create a custom TF preset to map Pads 1-16 to Keys C3 to D5
**Thanks to Zerobae for the Simpleslicer contribution.
Let me know if this helps.
