Hi there,
Iv just managed to get myself a nice little package of ableton 5 and an oxygen 8 v2 MIDI controller for £199. Yay for me...
anyway

I read that Live 5 users can get themselves a free upgrade to Live 6 as long as its before the end of October, I was just wondering how I can get my free upgrade! I haven't got Live yet as its being delivered on Tuesday. BUT will there be an upgrade path in the downloads section or will I have to show proof of purchase etc...?

how much is an upgrade from live 5?
I thought the guy in the shop was a little sketchy about the whole thing...

Upgrade will be about £70 I think.

is that for boxed or for download?

Download I think. You'll have to check the prices in the online shop.

I'm sure if you show proof of purchase for before june 3rd that Ableton will accomodate you.

He doesn't get his Live until Tuesday he said.

yeah, it wont be here until Tuesday. Why would they stop people getting upgrades after a certain day??

From now through June 3, 2007, Live full version users are eligible for discounted upgrades to Live...

It doesn't mean that you wont be able to upgrade. All it means is that for that time period, the upgrades are discounted.

Yeah, you're right. But like I said, if you can show Ableton proof that you paid for it before the 3rd, the *might* throw you a bone. Email support and chat 'em up!
